SEALING TECHNOLOGY
Raycom has developed Sealing Technology for the most demanding applications. Our in-house design and development facility enhances our ability to customise sealing profiles and sealing materials in accordance with the customers’ requirements. Our production facility enables us to produce seals from 5mm to 720mm diameter using CNC Seal making Machines. The production of these special sized seals comes from semi-finished elastomers or engineered plastics. This system allows us to supply our customers special profile seals in non-standard dimensions without any tooling. Raycom has readily available raw materials, such as, NBR, HNBR, EPDM,FKM, FFKM, MQ, PU, CR, PTFE, CSM, PEEK, PPS, UHMW, POM alongside special compounds to suit all the industry’s needs.

The O-ring may be used in static applications or in dynamic applications where there is relative motion between the parts and the O-ring. Dynamic examples include rotating pump shafts and hydraulic cylinder pistons. O-rings are one of the most common seals used in machine design because they are inexpensive, easy to make and reliable, as well as having simple mounting requirements. Off-the-shelf availability for standard O-rings: NBR, HNBR, Viton, FKM, FFKM (Kalrez), EPDM, Silicones, Aflas, PEEK, Neoprene, Polyurethane (thermoset plastic), Elastomer, Nomex and brass compounding
